AGM and Autumn Meeting

Wednesday 8 November | Sitwell Arms Hotel, Derbyshire

The RFG AGM and Autumn meeting will be held at The Sitwell Arms Hotel, Renishaw, Derbyshire S21 3WF on Wednesday 8 November, with the usual networking dinner at the same venue on the evening before the meeting (Tuesday 7 November).

Speakers include Chris Rowley of Network Rail looking at timetabling freight services and  Deanne Logan explaining how to set up effective mentoring within an organisation to benefit all involved. Further speakers to be confirmed.

The meeting will take place 9am – 1pm and then, after lunch, there is an optional trip to Barrow Hill Roundhouse, which operates the last railway roundhouse with an operational turntable in Europe. The railway depot near Chesterfield, built in 1870, survives today as a fully functioning modern rail facility and it’s just about to reinvent itself again, on part of its 21-acre site, where a brand-new £5m rail research innovation centre building is to be constructed.
