Budget 2021 Freeports response statement

In response to the Chancellor’s statement on Freeports, RFG Director-General Maggie Simpson OBE, said: “Rail freight plays a major role in sustainable distribution to and from ports all around the UK.  Many of the new freeports announced by Government today are already significant rail users, and this announcement paves the way for all eight locations to increase and grow their business on rail.”
