Rail Freight Group (RFG) was pleased to respond to the consultation on Network Rail Consultation on Regulated Access Charges in CP7.
Access charges are an important element of rail freight, influencing the competitiveness of rail over road. As they form a significant part of the costs of rail services, the calculation of access charges is of importance not only to rail freight operators but ultimately to customers who bear any increase in charges through their haulage contracts.
