RFG Handbook 2024

Rail Freight Handbook 2024/25 now available online

Rail Freight Group (RFG) has published the latest edition of its annual Rail Freight Handbook.

An e-book digital copy is available here.

The 2024/25 issue contains up-to-date company contacts and RFG members’ details from across the sector, including freight operating companies and support service providers. Classified sections are broken down into easy-to-navigate interests, so whether you’re looking for haulage contacts or insurance advice, you can find exactly what you need when you need it.

This year, we are delighted to welcome Rail Minister Huw Merriman MP, who has contributed the foreword. It kicks off a number of editorial articles from experts across the sector. We would like to thank all of our contributors: Carl Waring, Henry Bates, Dr. Nicholas Head, Colin Denman, Chris Lawrenson, Lydia Cullimore, Neil Sime, Mick Tinsley, Mark Hooper, Robert Jervis.

As always, the book also contains contributions from the RFG team, including introductions by RFG Chair Chris Swan and Director-General Maggie Simpson OBE, a Policy update from Assistant Policy Manager Phil Smart, and regular Regional Review articles on Scotland, The North, Wales and the West Midlands from Martin Bignell and Robin Smith.

Hard copies of the handbook are available upon request, or you can pick one up at many of our events.
