RFG delighted to welcome Mathis Edwards as its new Policy Manager

RFG is delighted to welcome Mathis Edwards to the role of Policy Manager.

Mathis will play a key part in supporting RFG’s Director General, Maggie Simpson OBE, strengthening the organisation’s policy capability and helping to deliver RFG’s priorities on behalf of members. The role reflects the growing breadth and intensity of rail freight policy activity, particularly in the context of rail reform, decarbonisation and capacity planning.

Commenting on the appointment, Maggie Simpson OBE said: “We’re delighted to welcome Mathis to the RFG team. This year is set to be a busy one for rail freight policy, and her support will be critical in helping us represent our members’ interests and champion the role of rail freight within a changing rail landscape.”

Mathis joins RFG at a pivotal moment for the sector and will work closely with members, industry partners and policymakers to help ensure rail freight’s voice is heard at the highest levels.
