The May 2021 issue leads with the united call by the rail sector for much greater electrification across the UK. If Government is going to hit its environmental targets, the network absolutely needs the upgrade and RFG strongly supports the cause.
In this issue, we also welcome our new Assistant Policy Manager Phil Smart to the team. Many of our members will already know him from his work with Railfuture. We encourage everyone to reach out to him at phil.smart@susans86.sg-host.com
Don’t forget to get your RFG Award entries in before the end of May. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the work of teams and colleagues across the rail freight sector.
A huge thank you also to our regular guest contributors JR Consulting and Burges Salmon, who have provided their expertise and insight to readers on everything happening inside Westminster and concerning key Planning issues. In particular, we tackle the subject of Government’s transport investment plans, which have been hotly debated in recent Transport Select Committee meetings. All details on pages 14 & 15.
If you would like to get in contact with us about any of the topics raised in the issue, please do not hesitate to email us at contact@susans86.sg-host.com
