In our first issue of 2025, we lead with coverage of the Government’s new consultation on rail reform, ‘A railway fit for Britain’s future’. While we’ve welcomed it, we’ve also warned that the significant legal changes being planned could pose a threat to rail freight services.

Everyone should note that the RFG Awards are open for entries. They recognise excellence in all aspects of rail freight and are a great opportunity to celebrate. We would encourage all our members to use this opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding work done by your teams to ensure the rail freight industry continues to develop and thrive.
