Strong start for RFG’s Cross-Member Mentoring Programme 2025

RFG’s Cross-Member Mentoring Programme continues to go from strength to strength, with 41 mentoring relationships now underway and excellent feedback from both mentors and mentees.

Three months into the scheme this year, the average number of meetings is 2.68, with participants rating their sessions an impressive 8.9 out of 10.

The majority of mentees (79%) are focused on developing in their current role, while mentors report gaining valuable skills in coaching, leadership, and active listening.

The top five skills mentees are developing include business insight, collaboration, networking, self-awareness, and taking action. Programme lead Deanne Logan from Mulberry & Mint said: “The quarterly calls in May went really well, eight mentees and five mentors attended and it was brilliant to hear their reflections and discuss what they want to do next in the mentoring relationship. Lots of site visits are already booked in, and the flexibility around the number of sessions is working well for participants.”

Early feedback highlights the positive impact of the programme, with mentees describing their mentors as “brilliant”, “very knowledgeable” and “supportive”. Mentors too are finding the experience rewarding, with one saying: “I’ve learnt lots from my mentee already and am surprised at how much I’m gaining from the experience.”
