Alex launched his railway career at Network Rail as a graduate manager and progressed through roles in the Freight and National Passenger Operator (FNPO) function, System Operator, and Supply Chain Operations (SCO). In 2020, he assumed the role of Head of Infrastructure at GB Railfreight (GBRf), where he managed its contracts with infrastructure managers, oversaw the supply chain, and played a vital role in handling HS2 construction traffic.
